Financial security is an interdisciplinary research area related to various entities, including households, enterprises, countries and international organizations. As a multidimensional issue, it encompasses mechanisms and instruments of the financial market, banking activities, financing of new ventures, financial innovations or digitization of monetary transactions and many other issues. Ensuring financial security is a basic condition for shaping economic patriotism in various areas. Patriotism in the economic sphere may manifest itself in conducting appropriate economic policy in various areas, e.g. supporting Polish exports and promoting domestic companies abroad or supporting innovative entrepreneurship. This creates new business opportunities, currently resulting primarily from technological changes.
The literature analysis shows that ensuring financial security is a complex issue arising from existing legal and technological solutions, sectoral development of the financial market (e.g. in the field of commercial banking and para-banking activities, as well as trading in securities and, insurance), access and use of financial services and instruments of the political environment that can influence various forms of taxation or subsidising financial intermediation. Current research indicates the need to search for and implement new models and instruments supporting financial security in relation to various entities. Due to dynamic technological development, one can observe the insufficient state of scientific research on financial security in the context of sustainable financial management. In order to meet current challenges and ensure the effective economic development, also in the area of financial security, new cross-sectional analyses and conceptual models regarding theoretical and methodological issues are necessary.
The last few decades have witnessed the emergence of numerous concepts and economic models that take into account the promotion of attitudes of economic patriotism by showing its importance for the sustainable development of the economy. Despite various economic concepts and instruments supporting financial security and economic patriotism, the fragmentation of scientific knowledge in this field is clearly visible, which prompts a search for holistic solutions.
The key goal of the conference is to present scientific achievements and evaluate the current state of research development on the role of economic patriotism and innovative technologies in stimulating not only the sustainable development of the Polish economy, but also financial security from the perspective of financial markets, the state and enterprises, as well as households. Therefore, there is a need for in-depth scientific reflection on methods and instruments for the economic development in theoretical and practical terms, seeking answers to the following questions:
- What role do international organisations play in the shaping of financial security?
- What is the importance of financial security in stimulating socio-economic development?
- What mechanisms and instruments shape economic patriotism?
- What role does financial security play in stimulating entrepreneurship supporting the competitiveness and innovation of the economy?
- What is the use of financial technologies (fintech) in the development of economic activity on a local, regional, national and international scale?
- To what extent does technological development and revolution 4.0 affect financial security and economic patriotism?
This conference will create a platform for debate on empirical research and theoretical and conceptual achievements in the field of supporting states and market institutions in shaping financial security as well as supporting entrepreneurship and innovation of business entities with particular emphasis on the development of digitisation and technological progress. In this context, it will be important to analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of current financial security methods and instruments in the era of the digital revolution and progressive technological development, taking into account the impact of the regulatory system and financial institutions, financial market mechanisms, sources of entrepreneurship financing and financial innovation in both practical and financial terms. The search and formulation of a new paradigm for the relationship between financial security, entrepreneurship and socio-economic development as well as proposals for the application of effective actions and mechanisms will be the main subject of panel discussions during the conference.
Finally, this conference will have a special character, because in addition to the cognitive values for economics, it will be combined with the Jubilee of the 70th anniversary of the birth and the 45th anniversary of the scientific and didactic work of Prof. dr. hab. Kazimierz Zieliński, Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Cracow University of Economics.
